Edward is known for his diverse backgrounds, the completely cross-hatched backgrounds and the splattered backgrounds in particular. In this collection of six paintings which he has titled “Sanctuary Spirits” he created a fusion of the two which makes this collection extremely rare and unique as this is the only collection that Edward has combined the two over his 35 year career. A splattered base with a cross-hatched overlay, creating a 3D like affect which brings the animal and spirit figures to the forefront. Adding yet again another layer of depth and dimension to his highly detailed and unique work.
