Rolling Thunder – Lightening Spirit

One of a collection of lightening spirit paintings. They are the Warrior brothers of Gnunmarrarah, who when together, bring all the elements of the storms that occur during the wet season. They have no mouths and communicate telepathically as a hive mind, adding their individual contributions to the great storms of the tropics.

This painting depicts the Lightening Spirit explained as Rolling Thunder. holding his Hammer and Lightening bolt. Harnessing maximum voltage through body, shown by the lightening cables going from his shoulders to his hands before he throws the lightening bolts and pounds his hammer causing deafening thunder as it signifies the arrival of the wet season. The power bags hang from his arms, these contain all the magic he possesses.
